The integral bridge (95 m long) consisted of supporting steel girders connected by crossbars, a reinforced concrete deck and piers. To represent the elastic-plastic behavior of the deck under the seismic shock the concrete damage plasticity model was assumed for the concrete material. Two variants of elastomeric bearings, which differed in dimensions and properties of the neo-Hookean material, were implemented. In result, both variants differed significantly in flexibility. In the numerical analysis of the structure a simplified model of the elastomeric bearing was adopted in which the layers of the elastomeric material were replaced with non-linear Cartesian connector elements. The comparative analysis of the dynamic performance of the bridge, equipped with different types of elastomeric bearings, revealed that the system of more flexible bearings provided better isolation that resulted in enhanced behavior of the concrete material of the deck, manifested in a reduction of the size of yield zones above the piers which were affected by concrete material damage. The level of damage and stiffness degradation was considerably lower as well.
