000001408 520__ $$2eng$$aThe concept of $J_R$ curves is well established in structure assessment. However, the shape of $J_R$ curves is influenced by constraint e ects significantly. Such phenomena can be modelled using micro-mechanical models of plasticity. The paper presents simulation of $J_R$ curves using the complete Gurson model of plasticity, which was implemented into the finite element system WARP3D. The calculations were focused on stable crack growth in pipes. The correlation between triaxiality parameter and crack extension was also studied.
