Experimental investigation of thermal conditions and energy efficiency of solar air collectors

Abstract eng:
The paper deals with the experimental investigation of operating parameters of solar air collectors, installed in an experimental building in Podoli u Brna. The collectors are created as two parallel air channels between them the absorption film is installed. A data acquisition system has been installed with the aim to monitor thermal and weather conditions. The thermal gains determined from airflow rates and differences between inlet and outlet air temperatures were compared with impacting solar radiation. The relatively high efficiency of solar energy utilization in range of 30-80 %, depending on type of absorption film, was established by this way.
