A stability of the flow in the thin circular gap


Abstract eng:
The condition of stability of steady flow in rotationally symmetrical area is presented in the paper. The governing equation is Navier-Stokes and the continuity equation for an incompressible liquid. Small velocity and pressure perturbation is superimposed on the basic flow. Stability is assessed according to the real part of eigenvalue of the associated eigenvalues problem.
