000014510 520__ $$2eng$$aThe drag reduction in a horizontal channel exposed to a spatially-periodic heating along the upper and lower walls has been analyzed. It has been shown that the drag reduction increases by up to a factor three when compared with the drag reduction achieved using one-wall heating. This increase is possible only when both heating patterns have a proper relative position.
