A contribution to the sensitivity analysis and spectral tuning of the rotating systems

Abstract eng:
This paper describes a sensitivity analysis and spectral tuning method of selected design parameters of the large rotating systems. The method is based on the system decomposition into subsystems - rotor and stator - joined by discrete couplings - bearings and a transmission belt. The reduced conservative mathematical model of rotating systems including the effects of gyroscopic forces is assembled by means of the lower mode of the mutually uncoupled undamped subsystems with respect to the coupling properties. The method is applied for the sensitivity analysis and spectral tuning of the centrifugal fan.
