000015002 520__ $$2eng$$aWe provide experimental evidence for an intermittency route to chaos in an electrostatic MEMS actuator. To our knowledge, this is the first time that an intermittency route to chaos has been observed in an electrostatic MEMS actuator. We present our experiment results obtained by a laser vibrometer that measures the displacement and the velocity of the actuator in both of the time and frequency domains.
