Design optimization of the connecting rod of the engine Škoda 1,2 HTP


Abstract eng:
The paper is an example of application of modern numerical and experimental methods used in development and optimisation of individual designed parts of the three-cylinder engine Škoda 1,2 HTP. The authors of the paper describe procedures for optimization of the connecting-rod small end deformations and the related phenomena, which might have negative influence on the service life and reliability of the driving system of vehicles.
