The first one is bound with penetration of jet to a certain depth in material and the second one is caused by expansion of steam rising from jet inside hot material. Both the penetration of jet into the rock-like material and expansion and work of steam bubble are described by equations. The models yield both qualitative and quantitative outputs because they enable to determine the depth of jet penetration and the amount of disintegrated (or better said separated) material; the fragments of it are often rent away by mechanical tension, specially the tensile one. Some results calculated from the model are discussed in the paper and they are compared with some experimental data.
