The impo rtance of chemical ad mixtures in concrete technology cannot be overstated. In this paper, the authors quantitatively evaluate the influences of chemical ad mixtures’ water-reducing effect, placeability improvement effect and h igh-strengthening effect on the reduction of environ mental impact. Finally, the authors illustrate the future outlook for chemical admixtures from the standpo int of sustainability.
