On the other hand, waste management and environmental loading reduction is also requested by using by-product from other industries, such as Blast Furnace Slag (BFS) and Fly Ash (FA). BFS or FA blended with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) can be resulted in good performance for long time hydration. However, the early strength and hydration reaction of blended cement is low and not as good as OPC. By using the new clinker that contain more Alite(C3S) phase should improve the early performance of blended cement. Alite is mainly reacted at initial hydration. In this research we studied different types of Alite clinkers blended with FA and BFS and also compared with OPC blended samples. Calorimeter is used to study the hydration reaction for 7 days and TG/DTA is used to measure the amount of CH generated from the reaction. Porosity of harden samples was also tested by MIP and microstructure was observed by SEM.
