EFFECT OF VARIATION IN THE RATIO OF SODIUM SILICATE TO SODIUM HYDROXIDE ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF REINFORCED GEOPOLYMER CONCRETE BEAMS

Abstract eng:
An experimental investigation is carried out to study the effect of variation in sodium silicate to sodium hydroxide in the geopolymer concrete. Oven dry curing method is adopted by manufacturing the geopolymer concrete in the pan mixer. Compressive strength split tensile strength, flexural strength and load-deflection characteristics of reinforced geopolymer concrete are studied and validated the test results with the Indian standard code IS: 456-2000 provisions for reinforced ordinary Portland cement concrete.
