000002140 520__ $$2eng$$aGreen concretes containing low amounts of Portland cement clinker were developed to reduce the environmental impact such as the global warming potential of concrete structures. The relevant criterion which often prevents the application of the cement reduced concretes for elements in exterior environmental climate conditions is normally an adequate carbonation resistance of the concrete. A new prediction model for the carbonation resistance based on the raw materials should support the further development and application of cement reduced concretes.
