OPTIMIZATION OF CONCRETE STRUCTURES DESIGN WITH ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS INCLUSION

Abstract eng:
This contribution describes basic groups of the optimized design of structures: deterministic (DBSO) and reliability based optimization (RBSO). The principle of solution of the problem of optimization of reinforcement design in concrete structures is introduced. The target function is defined as multi-criterion problem. The restrictive conditions that define the range of allowable solutions from the mathematical viewpoint express the relations derived from the equations of equilibrium (solution of a structure with finite element method), from the conditions of reliability of reinforced concrete structure and from continuity of deformations. Solved examples for DBSO and RBSO of concrete structure are described.
