000002162 520__ $$2eng$$aThis study investigated the influence of the molten slag as fine aggregates of concrete on the structural performance of RC beams. In the loading test, the mechanical responses of the RC beams containing the molten slags were measured. As a result, the measured crack width was smaller than the calculated width by JSCE code. The shear capacities of the small slag beams were almost same as those of the normal beams, while the capacities of the large slag beams were larger than those of the normal beams. These capacities were at least 30% larger than the calculated capacities by JSCE code. They indicated the availability of the molten slags as fine aggregates of structural concrete.
