DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOW CARBON TYPED ANTI-WASHOUT UNDERWATER CONCRETE

Abstract eng:
In the traditional mix proportion of anti-washout underwater concrete, the unit content of water and cement were much larger than that of normal concrete. The authors studied for the improvement of anti-washout underwater concrete experimentally using the polycarboxylic acid-based superplasticizer. As a result, the unit content of water, cement and anti-washout admixture could be reduced remarkably. Using this improved anti-washout underwater concrete leads to the reduction of the quantity of carbon dioxide emissions during the production of concrete materials.
