STRUCTURAL AND THERMAL INSULATION UNIFIED MAGNESIUM OXYCHLORIDE CEMENT-BASED PANELS BY EXTRUSION

Abstract eng:
Magnesium o xychloride cement-based panels with incorporation of expanded perlite/paraffin co mposite for thermal storage have been developed by extrusion technique. The experimental results demonstrated that the largest temperature d ifference across the panels under the emitting of infrared light reached 9.3ºC, co mpared to the sa me thickness concrete panel of 3.4ºC. The co mpression and flexural strength of the panels varied fro m 15-45 MPa and 68 M Pa, respectively. Thus, the M OC-based panels with expanded perlite/paraffin co mposite made by extrusion have great potential to be utilized in building industry as the energy-effective build ing products to satisfy the requirements of sustainable development of the society.
