The symbiotic of Functionally Graded Material and Self Consolidating Cement Composites concepts –FGSCCC- certainly contributes to reach this goal as it shows promise for hypothesized cost-efficient spatially tailored structural cross-sections. On this paper the feasibility of the FGSCCC for producing tunnel segments has been assessed experimentally. Results showed the potentiality of the concept in reducing: i) long-term costs, and ii) design or processing throughputs.
