000002200 520__ $$2eng$$aThere is increasing awareness of the need to provide sustainable buildings. High strength concrete (HSC) is the responsible choice for sustainable development. In the long term HSC durability significantly affects project costs. The future design and construction of sustainable buildings involves High strength concrete (HSC).This paper presents recent information and the benefits of high strength concrete. Also, presents the behavior of confined high strength concrete experimentally. Finally, this study has shown that adopting a suitable helix pitch can produce sustainable HSC beams.
