APPLICATION OF EQUIVALENT ELEMENT FOR EFFICIENT VIBARTION ANALYSIS TOWARD SUSTAINABLE STADIUM

Abstract eng:
Stadium stand can be subjected to the significant dynamic responses as like resonance or excessive vibration due to spectator rhythmical activities. These excessive dynamic responses decrease the serviceability and the safety of stadium structures. Therefore the accurate analysis is necessary to sustain the durability of stadium structure. Thus, the stadium structures are required to do the accurate vibration analysis and the precise investigation of the dynamic loads on stadium stand. Moreover, it is desirable to analyze the dynamic loads of spectator activities for an accurate vibration evaluation of stadium structure because these dynamic loads cannot be easily expressed in numerical formula. As the mesh of stadium stand that is modeled by solid elements or plate elements is refined, the number of finite elements and nodal points for conventional numerical analysis increases. In this study, dynamic loads induced by spectator suddenly movements are measured and analyzed. And a vibration analysis of stadium structure is conducted to inspect the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed modeling method by using equivalent beam element. This proposed equivalent beam element can be used to get the relatively accuracy and the remarkably efficiency to vibration analysis for the sustainable stadium structure. A sustainable stadium will be realized economically, socially and environmentally because the proposed modeling method can provide more accurate vibration analysis for a stadium structure.
