This paper uses LCA to measure environmental loads of concrete with different cement types (CPI-S-32, CPII-E-32 and CPIII-32) and characteristic compressive cylinder strength at 28 days (fck) between 25 to 60 MPa. Environmental impacts were normalized by (years of) service life. Results highlighted the role played by the type and content of cement on concrete’s total environmental impact. And made evident service life consideration is paramount for the interpretation of environmental indicators.
