It is used to reinforce the structures of buildings, protect them against alterations and moisture, and gives aesthetic character to buildings. Technical growth has allowed the improvement of the characteristics and performances of such materials used in the monument restoration. It is in this purpose and context that our research is performed; our work involves the comparison of the evolution of the physical and mechanical properties of lime plasters prepared by traditional methods in-situ and those formulated within the laboratory (CETIM, LMMC and DGM Boumerdes). The results showed that the plaster developed within the laboratory has performance features which are compatible with the old buildings, which give it a place in restoration. Monitoring of the physical characteristics of these plasters after one year of use showed successful adhesion and compatibility with such historical buildings.
