The dual role of cultural heritage as attractor of tourism and local economic resource

Abstract eng:
The cultural heritage could be considered as tourist attractions, but, they could also be considered as economic resources because of their relevance on the tourist market and they could elevate the competitiveness and the brokerage bid of the local tourist systems. However, the territorial resources are not absolutely a tourist attractions. To be considered tourist attractions and have the ability to activate flows of tourism, the artistic heritage, historical or cultural, environmental or belonging to the landscape, has to meet requirements of adequate value and market identified with the characteristics of: visibility and accessibility. In substance, the cultural heritage is in the middle of a dual dimension and it should be exempt from conflicts: it has to maintain its own identity characteristics which are fundamental for its historical/cultural value and, consequently, for its attractive ability; the cultural heritage has to help the cultural increase but above all the economic development.
