Deformational Properties of Cement Composites with Plastic Crushed Material

Abstract eng:
At the Institute of Construction and Architecture SAS (ICASA) the research of the cement composites containing plastic crushed material – composite with plastic aggregates (CPA) has been carried out since the year 2004. The initial research was focused mainly on the mechanical and physical properties of the composites CPA of PC and TV screens. In the year 2006 the research was extended on the tests of the composites CPA on the basis of printed circuits. The research verified behaviour of test elements under short- and long-term load. The effects of carbonation on the deformational properties of the composites containing PC and TV crushed material were also studied. At present the short-term test of the floor slabs are in progress. This paper presents the unconventional results, the comparison of both composites and the basic information about the behaviour of the proposed floor slabs.
