000002659 520__ $$2eng$$aThis paper describes an experimental project focused on behavior of stone columns group, where the parameters of axis distance and load on basement slab were changed. Experimental calculations were carried out on stone columns with diameter of 60 cm. The finite element analyses were also carried out with PLAXIS software. The 15 nodes elements were used in calculations. Also a drain condition and Mohr Coulomb criteria for soft clay and gravel were applied. Numerical conclusions of FEM and analytical conclusions of Priebe method were compared and showed a good agreement.
