This inhomogeneous materials can be viewed as a two component material, composed of aggregate grains embedded in filling. A numerical model is based on the assumptions that grains are spherical and the filling is homogeneous. An “artificial” heterogeneous material is created by numerical process of mixing the spherical grains. numerical results presented in this article are obtained by using own programs and own scripts, programs ABAQUS (FEM) and PovRay (visualisation). Plastic-damage model (called in literature as Barcelona Model MB [4,5,7]) is applied to generate degradation maps of filling. Grains are described by elastic model. Spatial and planar numerical models are presented in the paper.
