Perspektívne oblasti geotermálnej energie Slovenska

Slovakia is known for numerous mineral springs - hot and colder. We recognize mainly spas that were generally known and have proved their importance through times – Piešťany, Bardejov Spa, Trenčianske Teplice, Trenčín Spa, Ružbachy, etc. In addition to the above there are also thermal springs that have not been known to the public and their potential has not been used so far. In Slovakia there are built new recreational facilities using thermal water energy or thermal water itself, respectively. Thermal water is used in different ways in these facilities. In some facilities thermal water is used only for filling the swimming pools applying flowing-through patterns. Other facilities use thermal water as a source of thermal energy and pools are filled with heated drinking water or they use thermal hot water in combination of both methods.
