000002867 520__ $$2eng$$aThe paper deals with the geometry of steel rope structure, which is constructed from trihedral strands. The structural elements of a rope, their relative position and dimension are described. Parametric equations of the wire axes in a strand winding around the rope axis there are derived on the principle of geometric strand structure. The equations are used to create the geometric model of trihedral strand (3+9+15).
