Impact of historically inspired processes of lime mortar preparation on its properties

Abstract eng:
The aim of the paper is to present and discuss selected results of research concerned with historically inspired techniques of nonhydraulic mortar preparation. The research offers results that may be useful both in conservation practice as well as in improving the methodology of lime mortar specimens preparation for testing purposes. The paper presents the results of an impact of water to binder ratio, time of fresh lime mortar mixing and maturing and over rapid drying on lime mortar specimens properties in the course 90 days of formation of calcium carbonate matrix. Methodological specification of the preparation of lime mortar specimens is dealt with in the paper more in detail.
