Simulation of three-point bending tests of alumosilicate mortars after high temperature loading

Abstract eng:
Physical and chemical changes in quasibrittle materials loaded with high temperature affect the fracture mechanical behavior of structures. Threepoint bending tests of notched beams made of alumosilicate mortar after loading with high temperature up to 1200°C (with step 200°C) are simulated in this study. Nonlinear analysis is performed in software ATENA. A material model SBETA based on nonlinear fracture mechanics that very well describes all the aspects of quasibrittle behavior was applied. The method based on the combination of neural networks and stochastic analysis of structure was successfully employed for determination of input data. The comparison of experimentally determined parameters and input data for numerical simulation was carried out in order to evaluate the applicability of these parameters for numerical simulations.
