000010742 520__ $$2eng$$aThe seismic performance of terminal building 2 in Pudong international airport subjected to various earthquake inputs was investigated. A 1:35 scaled model structure was built and tested in the shaking table using a series of horizontal and vertical motions with gradually increasing amplitude. In addition, a 3D finite element analysis was carried out to gain a better understanding of the structural behavior. The model responses and numerical analysis showed that the building can sustain relatively high dynamic excitations without severe damage.
