Through the transmitting boundary, a way of simulating fault rupture is given and comparing with analytical solution, the methods’ reliability and parallel computation programming is verified. The results show that, using the theory of dynamic fault rupture, the theoretical analysis and simulation can better reveal the rupture mechanism. Basically, the rupture beginning and development are disclosed and the surface rupture and dislocation are estimated reasonably. It is concluded that, utilizing the parallel computation of dynamic fault rupture, the dynamic dislocation is more than the static one during rupture process. Meanwhile, the surface is displaced largely and bigger area of rupture can be caused. With the same stress drop, the surface rupture can be easily formed during dynamic rupture.
