It can solve the problems of SSI more effectively and conveniently. But because the precision of the viscous boundary is not high enough, viscous-spring boundary is introduced to substitute for viscous boundary. As demonstrated by numerical calculation results, this approach can improve the calculating precision obviously. A 7-storied base-isolated frame structure is analyzed with improved LS-DYNA in this paper, and essential models are established to compare the seismic responses of fixed base and base-isolated structures under 8 degree frequently and 8 degree rarely seism with SSI.
