Heat transfer in fibrous porous media


Abstract eng:
The longitudinal laminar flow through the fibrous porous media is considered. The cylinders fibrous are arranged in a regular square, triangular or hexagonal array. The fluid flow and the heat transfer in fibrous porous media was investigated by the meshless method. The proposed algorithm is easy to implement and it is mesh-free. The non-linear governing equation in a repeated element of an array is solved using the iteration method. At each iteration step the method of fundamental solutions and the method of particular solutions are used. The velocity and the temperature field are calculated as a function of porosity.
