The geometry of selected shells are described shortly. The investigation is carried out with the use of the finite element method. All three states of load are examined: pre-buckling, buckling and post-buckling one. The distribution of membrane resultants, buckling loads and buckling shapes as well as equilibrium paths of the analysed shells are presented. From the results it is seen that for shells with negative Gaussian curvature—concave shells—the post-buckling behaviour can have a stable character.
