Common core materials have several problems and thus new core materials have to be found. Corrugated card board is low-cost, ecological, easy to recycle and has good insulation characteristics. The aim of this research project is to assess the utilisation of corrugated card board as a new core material for sandwich panels in building industries. In this paper the so far conducted experimental investigations are presented and an outlook on future approach are given.
