The influence of the cover thickness and injection time for different shell thickness, material temperature and mold temperature on the pressure drop (for both types of materials) has been identified. An analysis of the required cooling time for different temperatures has also been made. In order to achieve results as close as possible to reality, the geometry of feed channels are modelled accurately. The study proves that it is possible to design the seat geometry and the injection molding process using the Mold Flow software.
