Initially, an overview of the structure and testing phases is presented, with a brief description of the simplified model adopted for the infills to estimate their resistance and to predict the failure mechanism. After that, the seismic behavior of the structure is discussed, in terms of damage distribution, development of the collapse mode, torsional response and dynamic amplification. Furthermore, the interaction between the infill panels and the R.C. frame is analyzed. The dynamic tests have been performed at the TREES Lab of EUCENTRE, in Pavia, Italy. The tests are part of the research projects "Numerical and experimental assessment of recommendations for existing R.C. buildings included in OPCM 3274" and "Use of innovative materials for strengthening and reparation of R.C. structures in high seismicity areas" funded respectively by the Italian Civil Protection Department and the Foundation CARIPLO of Milan, Italy.
