The soil response at the surface was estimated, by considering the elastoplastic soil behavior, using several synthetic input motions. Results show that liquefaction phenomena must have occurred and show a modification on the frequency contents due to the filtering produced by the non linear behaviour of the soil. The obtained free field signals are then applied at the base of a simplified structural model in fixed base condition, and the structural analysis provides a preliminary idea of the demand of ductility during the seismic motion.
