The outer cylinder (cuvette) is installed horizontally and brought to rotation, the inner cylinder (core) is lighter than the fluid and occupies a steady position on the rotation axis due to the centrifugal force. The action of transversal vibration on the system leads to the excitation of core inertial oscillations, steady streaming generation in the Stokes layers and core differential rotation. Heavy particles are added into the fluid to study the flow in the annulus. The core oscillations make the sedimented particles redistribute on the cylinder wall surface forming a regular pattern, azimuthal rings periodic along the rotation axis. The spatial period of the pattern depends on the regime of the core motion.
