The swirlity that indicates the uniformity and intensity of azimuthal áow follows the transition process, and it shows that this property in the transition depends on two real eigenvalues of the tensor with the same sign, not on vorticity. Sourcity shows that the uniformity of the radial áow depends on both these eigenvalues and vorticity (shear) in the plane that becomes the swirl plane.
