In this paper, the intrinsic size effect of Young's modulus is introduced into nanocomposite to study its influence on the effective elastic moduli of composite, especially the composite with micropolar matrix. It is shown that the intrinsic size-dependence of nanoinclusion can lead to the sizedependence of the effective elastic moduli of composite. Especially for the micropolar composite, the variations of the effective muduli of composite with the inclusion's size from nanometre to micrometre will be displayed completely.
