000014341 520__ $$2eng$$aIn order to obtain the buckling load of deployable structure based on Scissor-like Element (SLE) in compression, its stability is analyzed and discussed. In the process of analysis, the stability model of SLE is established based on the analysis of the elastic deformation of bar, which can be applied to a linear array deployable structure with n SLEs. In the sequel of this process, the effect of various parameters that affect the instability of the structure, such as the number of units, bar length and degree of deployment is being investigated, and the theoretical analysis results are verified through comparing with the simulation results in ANSYS, which show that the new stability model proposed here can predict the buckling load of scissor deployable structure. It can be concluded that the critical load of each unit should be considered and the minimum value is chosen as the buckling load of this structure.
