Observations of extreme events at intensity levels much higher than commonly reported and of a topologically distinct nature are related to conditional statistics that are useful for future efforts in improving stochastic modeling of turbulent dispersion, through incorporating the effects of fine-scale intermittency on the fluid particle acceleration.
