000015380 520__ $$2eng$$aThe multibody dynamics approach is introduced to simulate the whole drilling process of the directional drilling system combined with bit-rock interaction principle, which results the new born wellpath while drilling. The drilled wellpath trajectory of the simulation results can be used to evaluate the steering performance of a specific drilling assembly clearly and intuitively as a reference for directional driller.
