Its design should offer a comfortable and/or enjoyable journey to the riders, within the strength limits of the material. Actually, the tensioning operation is usually subtle as a too slack cable with a sagging area would not allow finish the race, while a too taut cable could produce excessive stresses in the cable. The paper presents the design methodology and the dynamic model that were used for the design of a world-record 1.2km long death-ride, with an only 10-mm diameter. 000015682 540__ $$aText je chráněný podle autorského zákona č. 121/2000 Sb. 000015682 653__ $$aInstructions, ECCOMAS Thematic Conference, Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering, Proceedings. 000015682 7112_ $$aCOMPDYN 2013 - 4th International Thematic Conference$$cIsland of Kos (GR)$$d2013-06-12 / 2013-06-14$$gCOMPDYN2013 000015682 720__ $$aDenoel, V.$$iCanor, T.$$iDemanet, J. 000015682 8560_ $$ffischerc@itam.cas.cz 000015682 8564_ $$s760501$$uhttps://invenio.itam.cas.cz/record/15682/files/1247.pdf$$yOriginal version of the author's contribution as presented on CD, section: CD-RS 06 DYNAMICS OF COUPLED PROBLEMS . 000015682 962__ $$r15525 000015682 980__ $$aPAPER
