MODELING OF FIRING PROCESS IN A SMALL FIREARM
Abstract eng: The article deals with modeling of a firearm and its response to an intensive short-time excitation by firing process using standard FEM computational program. The paper treats the influence of inner barrel area nitridation on the value and distribution of the stress in the barrel as well as on barrel dynamic properties.
