In order to achieve a proper connection among these elements it was necessary to satisfy complex boundary conditions. This connection (boundary condition) was realized by “rigid arms” and “hanging nodes” which are special cases of “slave degree of freedom”. Implementation and utilisation of the universal type of slave DOF will be discussed in this work.
