Substructure and macroelements in the design of the composite layered elements

Abstract eng:
At the present time mainly FEM is used for numerical modelling of composite layered solids and structures. Using FEM, a significant amount of research has been devoted to the analysis of vibration and dynamics, buckling an postbuckling, failure and damage analysis and etc. The aim of the paper is derivation of macro-element and sub-structuring technique for analysis of layered solids with linear material behaviour. The elimination is performed by static condensation algorithm. Created program modules are implemented into Interactive Computing System FEM (ICS FEM).
