Experimentally verification of the seismic wave attenuation excited by the heavy load drop

Abstract eng:
Impact of the military or civil aircraft on the containment of nuclear power plants of new generation stall be solved mandatory as the part of the Final Safety Analysis Report. Up to now unsolved problem is the aircraft drop in the vicinity of NPP. In this case exist two basic questions - amount of excited artificial seismic energy, - damping coefficient of excited seismic energy. These problems have been solved theoretically and experimentally in Nuclear Research Institute Rez plc. Theoretical part is based on the law of energy conservation and zero approximation of ray theory. In the experimentally part the artificial seismic event have been excited using helicopter Mi 8 and the fall of two cubes 1x1x1m and one octahedron with approximately same dimensions from the heights 125 m resp. 300. Consequently the conversion coefficient and damping coefficient have been evaluated.
